Painting the ceiling

Painting the ceiling is not as difficult as it may seem but requires some skills and knowledge. Traditionally, people choose white matt finish. Before painting we make sure we fill all the imperfections such as cracks, holes etc. as well as we sand all surfaces with dustless system. So no dust around. The next step is to apply 2-3 coats of paint. We use Tikkurila Anti-Reflex 2 anti-reflexive matt finish paint or Teknos Teknoceiling 02 paint.  It eliminates flashing and is great for large, well lit areas.

Painting the walls

There is a chose of few finishes when it comes to decorate the walls.

Dead flat matt – minimum sheen level.

Matt finish – non shiny. Less practical but great looking finish.

Satin finish – dull finish, tough, hard-wearing and dirt resistant. Very popular choice for interior woodwork.

All details are negotiated with the client. All furniture are either moved or covered. Floor is covered with dust sheets and hard floors are covered with paper board.

2. Preparation

All cracks and holes are filled. Areas to be painted are sanded down to ensure the surfaces are smooth. All gaps are caulked. Stains are stain blocked if needed.

3. Painting

Professional market leading paints are used such as Farrow&Ball, Tikkurila, Caparol and Teknos.  The paint is applied by roller and brush. The paint is applied until proper coverage usually in 2-3 coats.  Clean straight lines applied between trims and walls.

4. After the painting

All furniture are moved back. The floor is vacuumed and cleaned. All litter is taken.
