Painting the ceiling

Painting the ceiling is not as difficult as it may seem but requires some skills and knowledge. Traditionally, people choose white matt finish. Before painting we make sure we fill all the imperfections such as cracks, holes etc. The next step is to apply 2-3 coats of paint. We advise to use Tikkurila Anti-Reflex 2 anti-reflexive matt finish. It eliminates flashing and is great for large, well lit areas.

Painting the walls

You can choose from few finishes of paint to decorate the walls.

Matt finish – non shiny finish. This finish is harder to keep clean.

Durable matt – can be cleaned. Suitable for high traffic areas.

Silk finish – shiny finish.

Painting the woodwork

You can choose between three finishes when it comes to decorating the woodwork.

Matt finish – non shiny. Less practical but great looking finish.

Satin finish – dull finish, tough, hard-wearing and dirt resistant. The finish usually does not require an undercoat.

Eggshell finish – tough and hard wearing finish. Very popular choice for interior woodwork.

Gloss finish – shiny finish, durable and hard wearing gloss.

Painting the bathroom / kitchen

The bathroom and kitchen should be painted with special paints such as Bathroom Paint and Kitchen paint.
